SPB Survey: The Users' View on the Mobile Market
November 18th, 2010 – SPB Software, world's leading mobile software developer, invites all mobile users to participate in its seventh annual SPB Survey (http://spb.com/press/spb-survey-2010). Last year, SPB survey engaged a record number of 11,000 respondents.
SPB Survey captures feedback from mobile users and gives an overview of the latest mobile market trends, while helping in identifying changes in user profiles, mobile device expectations and the typical handset use cases. The report covers the classic issues that are widely discussed in 2010:
- Do the users really care about the underlying mobile OS platform?
- iPhone vs Android: which one captures the users' interest?
- Are the media tablets as popular as they are believed to be?
- How much are the users ready to pay for the apps they are using?
To make SPB Survey even more relevant, the highly respected mobile market analysts – Distimo and MobileSQUARED – were invited to work on the survey in cooperation with SPB Software. The survey is held in 12 languages: English, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Czech and Polish. The results are expected to be released in December 2010.
SPB Software, as a leading expert in mobile device usability, aims to reach out directly to users of all mobile platforms with the survey. The results of the survey will help SPB Software improve its multiplatform solutions for end-users and bring added value to its partners worldwide – phone makers and mobile operators.
A few lucky, randomly selected, SPB Survey participants will receive valuable 'thank you' gifts. The 1st selected participant will be rewarded with a mobile device of his choice (within the limit of 1000 USD) from such major internet retailers as Amazon or eXpansys. Second selected participant will be rewarded with a 100 USD worth of smartphone accessories of his choice from our partners at Smartphone Experts (www.smartphoneexperts.com ). Both of them will also receive a 100 USD gift certificates with the free selection of SPB Software products for them and their friends. The 3rd selected participant will also receive a 100 USD gift certificate with the free selection of SPB Software products.
Online magazines are invited to request an exclusive survey link for their readers by contacting SPB Software at pr@spb.com, and will receive the analysis of their audiences' answers from SPB Software when the results are available.
The survey will remain open until December 7th 2010 8:00 PM GMT, with results expected to be publicly available by December 20th 2010 5:00 AM GMT. All winners will be contacted with details on how to claim their prizes before December 20th, 2010.
