Spb Software House announces Palbum Picture Viewer

March 7, 2002 - Spb Software House, a developer of Pocket PC software, has announced today the release of Palbum Picture Viewer - an advanced feature-rich image viewer for the Pocket PC.

Palbum Picture Viewer is following the success of the two previous products from the Palbum product line. The main idea of Palbum Picture Viewer is being fast, easy to use and intuitive. Palbum Picture Viewer look and feel is the same as those of any common Pocket PC program, like Pocket Word or File Explorer, but at the same time file browsing is made much more comfortable.

"Developers of Pocket PC software usually try to create their own interface controls if those common to the operating system doesn't suit their needs. But this approach isn't always good for users as the latter don't always feel comfortable using this custom interfaces" - Spb Software House CTO Vassili Philippov says - "So, we decided to solve this problem adding new useful features to standard Pocket PC document list control."

Unlike other Pocket PC applications using the document list control, Palbum Picture Viewer gives you an ability to browse contents of your entire device or any certain folder, remembering your favorite images locations and adding them to the folder list for quick access.

Palbum Picture Viewer supports such features as image panning and zooming, full screen view, fit to screen and other, common to any picture viewer. Other important thing is that image viewing and processing engine is optimized for Pocket PC, making image viewing as comfortable as it could be.
