1. Where can I get more backgrounds for the widgets screen?

You can download additional free skins from the backgrounds page.

There is another easy way to get thousands of high quality backgrounds since wallpapers created for Windows desktops work very well with Spb Mobile Shell. Just search for "desktop wallpapers" in the Internet. For best results use 1280x1024 wallpapers with widescreen devices (480x800, 240x400) and 1280x800 with regular screen devices (480x640, 240x320).

You can also create your own background. Spb Mobile Shell can use almost any picture as a background. To achieve best and most predictable results use the following picture sizes:

• Devices with wide screen (480x800, 240x400): 960x748
• Devices with regular screens (480x640, 240x320): 960x588

2. How can I change the interface language?

By default Spb Mobile Shell uses the language of your device. To change the language back to English (or just use another language) go to Settings->Spb Mobile Shell->System->Language.

3. Can I always see Spb Home when my device wakes up after a long sleep?

Go to "Settings->Today->Items", enable the "Today timeout" option and choose the desired timeout.

4. Can I add an email widget for a specific email account (e. g. Gmail)?

Yes. On the Lifestyle Home screen choose "Add Widget->Email" and select the desired account.

5. If I have more than one account, how does the unread email indicator work?

We try to use space on the Professional screen as efficiently as possible to fit all important information in one screen. Therefore, there is only one indicator for unread emails. It shows the total number of unread emails. If there are unread emails, it will open the first account with unread emails; if there are no unread emails, it will open the account that was the last to have unread emails. As result, it will almost always open the account you want to use.

6. How does the Calendar work on the Professional Home screen?

We try to use space on Professional screen as efficiently as possible to fit all important information in one screen. Therefore, in the Calendar the space is shared between upcoming events, today's all-day events, graphic calendar, and the next alarm in the way it shows all important information in limited space. This algorithm can be tweaked in Spb Mobile Shell settings ("Calendar Widget").

7. How to add a shortcut to a file (e. g. on a storage card)?

Go to "Spb Menu->My Shortcuts" and choose "Add File" from the menu. After that you can add a shortcut to the new menu item as a widget to the Home screen or as a favorite program to the launcher.

8. How can I remove text from a shortcut widget?

From widget's context menu (tap-and-hold on the widget, or tap on the widget in the layout edit mode), choose "Medium" or "Small" as a size of the widget.

9. How can I quickly access the Launcher from any application?

Go to "Settings->Spb Mobile Shell->System" and set the "Override "Start"" option to "Yes". After that the "Start" button in the top left corner will show the Launcher instead of the standard "Start" menu. You will still be able to access the standard "Start" menu when you tap on it on the Launcher page.

10. How can I access the original Windows Mobile Today screen?

From the Home screen (Lifestyle or Professional) choose "Show Today" from the menu.

12. How can I have more advanced weather forecast features with Spb Mobile Shell?

Starting with version 1.7, Spb Weather fully integrates with Spb Mobile Shell. If you install Spb Weather you get all advanced features of Spb Weather, while keeping all features of Spb Mobile Shell. The key features include:

• Detailed weather information
• Multiple city support
• Forecasts for more than four days (up to ten)
• Five different weather views
• Custom sources support

13. Can Spb Mobile Shell show the next alarm from Spb Time?

Yes. If you have Spb Time installed, Spb Mobile Shell will show the next alarm information from Spb Time instead of the system alarm clock.

14. Spb Mobile Shell installation fails on my device. What's wrong?

Spb Mobile Shell supports only Windows Mobile 5.0 or later Pocket PC devices. Devices without a touch screen (Windows Mobile for Smartphone) and older platforms such as Pocket PC 2003 are not supported. Spb Mobile Shell will not install on such devices.

Also during installation Spb Mobile Shell 3.0 requires some additional space in the main storage of the device, so installation can fail if there is not enough storage available. If it happens, try the following:

1. Free some space in the main storage (delete big files, clean file cache of Internet browsers)
2. Install from a storage card instead of desktop. To do so, copy the Spb Mobile Shell CAB file to a device storage card and launch it on the device using File Explorer.
