1. What is Spb Mobile DVD for?
Spb Mobile DVD is a desktop application providing users with a quick way to convert DVDs and video files to the mobile format with the highest possible speed and true real-time preview.
2. What are the unique features of Spb Mobile DVD?
Among the unique features of Spb Mobile DVD there are:
- Conversion speed. Spb Mobile DVD is optimized for the fastest possible work on both one core and dual core processors. On a modern PC it is possible to convert a 2 hour long DVD film in 20 minutes, although the conversion speed depends on many factors including CPU, installed DVD player, output video resolution, output video format, video quality and zooming mode.
- True preview. The less the file size is, the poorer video quality it can offer. It's up to user to find a compromise between the file size and video quality. No computer can ever make this decision. If the size/quality settings were wrong, it may happen that the conversion video quality is unacceptable and the whole conversion procedure must be repeated. This "what-if method" can be very annoying. To avoid such problems Spb Mobile DVD offers a unique true real-time preview feature, which allows users to see the result even before the conversion starts.
3. What is the difference between WMV and XVID formats?
WMV is a native Pocket PC video format and it can be played on any Pocket PC with no additional software installed. Spb Mobile DVD allows users to convert movies into WMV format with different FPS values.
XVID, on the other hand, requires installing of some additional Pocket PC software (like the free BetaPlayer) that supports this format but it is more preferred both in size and video quality.
4. What software do I need to install to Pocket PC?
You don't need to install any additional software on your Pocket PC to be able to watch movies converted with Spb Mobile DVD. However, if would like to get better video quality, we would recommend you to use the XVID video format supported by some free video players, such as BetaPlayer.
